ITALIAN LEATHER FROM THE TUSCAN COUNTRYSIDE
Our leather is Italian, vegetable tanned and produced in a family-owned tannery a few miles outside of Florence, in the heart of Tuscany. We prefer to work with Italian leather because of its high quality and long-lasting properties. This means that your bridles, leather halters and bridles will not only last longer but also age better the more you use them. High-quality leather only gets softer the more it is used, and vegetable leather in particular develops a beautiful luster over time.
WHAT IS VEGETABLE TANNING LEATHER?
Vegetable tanned leather is processed with natural and plant-based extracts instead of mass-produced with chemical substances. Instead of dyeing leather with chrome sulfate and acids, vegetable tanned leather is designed with, among other things, tree bark. For safety reasons, we recommend that you rinse and care for your leather products after each use, but vegetable tanned leather rarely needs to be cleaned due to its long-lasting properties.
